Shows the location and dimensions of the edge of pavement for runways and taxiways at the Toronto Pearson International Airport (TPIA) and the Brampton Flight Centre. Note that this is stored as a regional topology and therefore the region polygon must be opened rather than the normal polygon.
For land use planning, analysis, and cartography.
The "Runways Edge of Pavement" is the edge of the pavement for the runways and taxiways that aircraft use. Roads for vehicles are not shown, as were parts of the tarmac that are used for plane storage, hangars, and the apron around terminals.
The "Runways" type does not include blast pads (yellow chevrons), overrun areas (yellow chevrons), runway safety areas, or displaced thresholds (white arrows). They begin and end at the "thresholds" at either end of the runway and include threshold markings, numbers, and centrelines within the area.
